Sil Moison is a photographer who specialises in photojournalism. He has his own freelance company called 'Moison Media' where he puts his focus on storytelling through his photos, and writing articles to support the images.
Sil started his photography journey with the camera of his father, it was a small, simple point and shoot camera. He took that camera with him to all kind of places, mostly vacations or school. At that time, it was more for fun, he would not have called himself a photographer back then. 2018 was the year that Sil focussed more on his skills as a photographer, this was also when he bought his own camera, a Canon 2000D. He still uses this camera as it is a beautiful camera to develop his skills with.
When Sil was eighteen, he started to be more serious with his career as a photographer. He started volunteer work to learn more about the job. For example, he took pictures for a few artists and was invited as a photographer to different events in his city Haarlem. Last year he started his own company called Moison Media, worked for Het Parool, Focus Magazine, SvJMedia and the Bonus Program. At the moment Sil is busy with his Journalism Studies and side projects.
